Weather intel for better
shipping decisions

Sunny skies and unimpeded transit is always our goal for shipments, but that is not the way weather works. Our in-house experts provide informed, up-to-date intelligence on current weather patterns as well as predictive analytics for severe weather systems, including the impact on the transit network.

Our proprietary weather tools include power outage maps, daily and weekly weather outlook email newsletters, weather forecasts for major hubs, and weather alerts for severe weather conditions. We dynamically assess the impact weather systems will have on the transit network in real-time, and quickly inform you of the meteorological challenges.

Major Storm Desk

If an upcoming weather event, such as a winter storm or hurricane, may have a significant impact on the potential for parcels to be delivered by the expected commitment date, PeriShip will provide a list of zip codes where it is recommended to delay shipping time and temperature sensitive product until the weather event clears. This approach can potentially save you product spoilage and significant cost.
